Savoir vivre - how to survive in Paris

The french way of life - le savoir vivre

Sorry, it's been ages since my last post ;)
That's life in Paris... always busy, hectic and stressy... haven't had time to write ;)

Hopefully will arange it better next time and keep you informed about what's going on in this amazing city!

Have now already spent 5 weeks here and enjoying my new life in France. Have had some great experiences and had to get to used to the "french way of life - le savoir vivre", which is a little bit different to the Austrian way of life. Yeah, there are even some great differences between Austria and France. Life is quite different here, everything is a little bit more complex.
Especially the french administration is not the best :(, so it can take you a couple of days to find the right post office to pick up a letter, or even weeks to get one single signature! If you have to get something it is nothing special that nobody knows what you are talking about and you are sent from one person to another, who also know nothing and will send you away anyway... Therefore always keep in mind that nothing works as it should and things last longer than proposed. :)

Apart from the really chaotic french administration, living in Paris is great! :)
Have found a perfect flat (only one metro station from the university, and about 8 stations to the Eiffel tower!), in a house full of students from all over the world. Sharing it with a nice girl from Germany, who is soooo similar to me! :)

Looking forward to some great weeks in Paris, with lots of new experiences, new people and a lot of party ;)

  1. It seems that administration things are everywhere complicated and abroad even more, which is quiet funny because normally we believe that Austrian and German bureaucracy is the strangest one. But at least their are no language barriers.
